Negilahn Calendar - Information

Introduction to Negilahn time

This is a short essay about how the secret behind Negilahn time was revealed.

The observations

First of all, explorers noticed that Negilahn had different times of day, indicated by the sky's changing color. They also found out that there was some kind of portal that appeared on Negilahn at random times.

Soon some explorers started to take pictures of Negilahn's sky in equal intervals. They noticed that the portal always appears at the same time of a Negilahn day.

The calculations

By calculating the difference between two times when a portal appeared, they found out that the Negilahn day lasts about 15 hours, 43 minutes in surface time.

I then took the first appearance of the portal I was aware of (2007-03-03 18:33 UTC) as something like a year 0 - with the difference that I did not use the term "year" or "day", but invented a new term "N" (for Negilahn day). So you could say that N 0 started on 2007-03-03 18:33 UTC.

Update (April 2007): Based on the map which appeared in the Museum on Ae'gura some day and some additional research I was able to modify the calendar so that it uses the more accurate 13 Partavotí (NTS) instead of 15 hours, 43 minutes. Therefore the whole calendar should be more accurate from now on.
